So being a yoga teacher is not my job. I love and live my job.
2. Best Sartorial advice from my parents:
Mom: Wear baju kurungs with super high heels.
As much as I love adidas Superstars and Bounce, I will never do a Sharifah Amani in Sepet.
Dad: Always always take care of your toenails,
"Kalau kuku kaki pun tak boleh jaga, macam mana kamu nak jaga laki?".
FYI, I take care of Supertall's toenails as well, or maybe since my favourite pedicurist takes care of mine :)
3. Style icons:
Carrie Bradshaw particularly in SATC The Movie
4. Describe your personal style:
Dailymuscle says I suffer from 'colourcititis'. I can't agree more. I feel that I have to always pair and match what top I wear with the pants or footwear or bag or headband I put on. When teaching, my tank / bra top (on days my tummy decides to behave) has to be paired with matching coloured pants, or my slippers.
On the days I don't teach, you'll always find me in either plain coloured or statement tee with a micromini in washed denim. And in either super flat pumps or super high heels.
5. I build my daily look around:
My hair do that day.
Big hair = short skirt.
Hot hair = hot pants.
Tied up hair = tie-style Bali / Thai pants.
Headband = belt.
6. Personal style quirk:
Statement t-shirts. Can't get enough of them.
Azmi Samdjaga (my new bff, yes) forced me to wear these tees we found in Pacific Plaza, Singapore during my visit two weeks ago. They read,
1. "If you can take the shit, I can take the pain."
2. (front) "Wanna see my favourite yoga position?" (back) "69"
Oohhhh, tidak berani.
7. Favorite designers:
Stella McCartney for adidas. I love her cut, her colours, her mission statement and her stand against animal cruelty. Many of her bigger sized adidas gadgets are tagged with 'I am a sporty vegetarian'.

I read somewhere that anyone who interviews Stella McCartney will be asked, "Are you vegetarian?" by her personally. And if your answer is no, she will reply with a smile, "You should, I'll tell you why." I wish I have her guts and capacity to enlighten people without offending them, one day.
I also love high-end yoga lines from Lulu Lemon and Donna Karan's Urban Zen, although their smallest sizes are still tad too big for me, and their price range is a little of out my Starving Yoga Instructor budget. And not that I have to buy any yoga / working out clothes, anyway :)
8. Most cherished item:
This adidas by Stella McCartney trenchcoat.

It comes with attached and super chic iPod or mp3 player pocket. This coat is also eqipped with built-in Recco Avalanche Rescue Reflector that can send signals if you are trapped in snow avalanche or something like that. Not that we get snowed and not that we can wear trenchcoat here unless you are either AC Mizal or Adlin Aman Ramli as konco-konco Aznil in Cicakman.
9. Favorite item of clothing:
Comfortable sundress that I don't look pregnant in and
big aviators that I can hide my dark eye circles under

10. I feel best wearing:
I can go to my yoga class to, run my errands in and have my lunch with.

10. The first thing I look at in another Sartorialist's outfit:
Some people just don't have the look and style to carry something expensive.
They can wear the most latest and expensive LV but the LV might just look fake on them.
On the other hands, some can wear a total no-brand and make it look like a thousand bucks.
11. I always break this fashion rule:
Most of the time, I didn't even try :(
If your skirt is mini, cover up up top.
If your top is skimpy, wear long pants / skirts.
Most of the time, too little of everything is too much of nothing.
AND, if I may add
For girls, if you are wearing sleeveless top or above the knee pants / skirt,
make sure you have SHAVED!
13. Never caught wearing:
Anything with VPL. I almost don't wear undies that are not G-strings.
And
14. Most underrated item in menswear/womenswear:
Hmmm, I think it's sad that most Malaysians still take their work out clothes for granted.
IMHO, because they don't work out and play sports seriously as well.
15. Dress to impress who:
My own two eyes.
16. Shine your own shoes:
I don't need to wear shoes that need shining.
I save that for my Batmobile.
17. Favorite stores:
(That I can afford lah kan? I don't see the point of claiming Bottega Venetta and Chloe when I don't own a piece of theirs and never have been in the stores myself). When I am not in adidas, I am always in a piece of Topshop. They carry UK size 6, just my size.
18. My next "must have" purchase:
18. I skimp when buying:
I have them in almost every colour, I keep buying them when I travel to islands and I try to get cheaper price by the next time I buy them!
19. I splurge on:
My car?
Because I think that's my literally, biggest accessory and I always leave my house in that.
20. Guilty pleasure:
When someone says, "I hate you. Why don't I look like that in that."
21. Cologne:
Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker.
I can see and smell myself in this for years to come.
Skincare:
The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil.
Or when Stella McCartney's CARE line reaches our shore.
Or when adidas Skincare & Body Range starts plastering me in their billboards (hint hint).
Sadly I have only been to London and Paris, the last time I went was when I was 14 (I didn't have the priviledge and luxury to further my study abroad). I will visit New York by mid 2009 so that makes Shanghai and Singapore my style cities for now.

23. When I was high school I wore?
Ooooh this, you don't want to know.
My high school was an all-girl boarding school in which I lived at for 5 years
(I wonder how I survived too, fret not).
For weekend outings, we had to wear STF-printed on hideous green batik.
For playing hockey, we had to pakai tudung (but most of us improvised it by covering our hair with Alien Workshop or No Fear bandanna, HA HA HAAAA!).
Back in my boarding school years, wayyyyyyyyyyy oversized t-shirt was so in. Baju kurung with track-bottom (you know those Cheetah, Forest and Schwarzenbach berkilat with cotton lining inside), or oversized basketball t-shirt with kain biru muda baju kurung was in too. Those who were daring enough to wear those to dining hall, or ko-op, or surau, won big time brownie points. HA HA HA HA AHAAAA! Saper budak STF yang baca ni je boleh gelakkan diri sendiri sama-sama OK!
24. Sports:
I still play futsal, golf, badminton and rockclimbing.
I used to sprint (I won gold medal for 100m and 110 meter-hurdles when I was in Form 5 [STF Sportsday '99], jangan main-main!) and played hockey competitively for my school, district and uni.
I watch tennis, football and never miss watching MHL (Malaysia Hockey League) at the stadium every year and every possible TNB & EY match for the
25. Favorite fashion magazine:
I don't read fashion magazine except those on the rack of my favourite salon or nail place, which explains my (non-exixtense) fashion sense. Although I secretly dig our own GLAM for familiar faces and our local celebs' closets.
Bali, to unwind. Singapore, to shop. New York, to burn my wallet and for the love of SATC.
And someone supertall suggested that we go to Maldives soon :)
27. Favorite neighbourhood restaurants:
Devi's Corner, Bangsar for breakfast with my housemates (none of us work 9 to 5 so we all go for breaakfast at 10am); Devi's Corner, Hartamas for teh tarik; Bestari, Hartamas for Indomee goreng; Aji Don Plaza Damas for their Johor food; Sri Nirwana Maju for its' vegetarian chicken and Khanna PJ for its' banana leaf rice.
Tagging Nellie, Joyce The Fairy and Evie.
