The Day I Miss Sex

Dear Diary,

I just finished watching THS: Women of Sex And The City on Channel E!.
And cried.

Despite watching a season a week after watching the movie until now
(not teaching that much anymore leaves me so much time in hand),
I still miss Sex And The City dearly.

Feed me!

The Day I Met (or made?) Mini Ninie(s)

Dear Diary,

About a month ago, I was given the honour by my favourite local fashion website, Tongue In Chic to dress up two dolls for their launch. In my understanding, the dolls were given to (was it?) 50 of KL's designers / artists / fashionistas. Which part of me screams any of the mentioned, I also donchknow but I thank them anyway. I had so much fun doing them, you had noooo idea!

So this uncreative me was stuck for a week not knowing how to dress up the dolls.
Near the deadline (or was it past deadline, he hee..), I was desperate and my unstable state of mind (that time) told me to dress up the dolls as, ME.

First Mini Ninie was inspired by one of my favourite adidas by Stella McCartney tops.

Second Mini Ninie was dressed like how The Yoga Instructor always dresses up to teach her yoga classes. Bra top paired with same coloured fisherman / Bali / Thai pants. Tapi kalau sportsbra kaler hijau, janganlah pakai lipstick kaler hijau pula ya? Walaupun yoga center anda sedang promo Green Yoga whateverrr..

(Mini Ninie's clothes were made from ribbons and wires and cross-stitch threads bought from Czip Lee, Bangsar. Thanks to Chi that I bumped into there [what coincidence!], for the recommendation.)

Both Ninie and her Mini Ninie-s also completed their looks with elastic H&M headbands (I have almost 8 of them now, in different colours and styles, hooray!). Great finish to a bad-hair-day dan supaya itu fringe tidak masuk mulut ketika downward-facing dog atau headstand.

And so came the much-anticipated launch of Tongue In Chic one rainy Wednesday night at The Apartment Downtown in KLCC where my plus-one and I arrived oh-so fashionably late.

There were..
soooo many preeeeeettty dollsssss!
I felt so malu..
My Mini Ninie-s looked soooo tiny..

But that still didn't stop me from taking pictures with my Mini-s :).
Although I didn't get to bag home my susah-payah made Minis-s :(.

Chi was my plus-one (and photographer, thank you babe!) that night. She has posted a nice(r!) entry and more pictures of the party in her blog although it is not my say to link up her new blog here, he hee.. So, just be nice, content and grateful with what I can share here, OK?

I just freshly coloured my hair that evening which explained the extra blondie and nicely set hair. Thank you my lovely cutie loyal stylish who always enjoys doing up my hair up high whenever I told him I have parties and events to attend. I love you long time.

Chi and I showing off our (or lack of) back muscles and make-up skill, he hee.. Chi's pose and angle terbaik punya kan? I was the pushy art director for that pose of hers, thanks to watching Jay Manuel on the endless repeats of ANTM.

(Speaking of make-up, there's this make-up tag that I have always been wanting to post-up. If time permits, maybe you'll see the bahan-bahan why my make-up always soooo over, tomorrow. Kot..)

Oh, and for the TIC launch, I actually tried to copy this look of Carrie Bradshaw somewhere at the end of SATC The Movie, which I hope all of you have seen it by now.

Pictures are captured from Sex And The City The Movie the book that I bought in Kinokuniya at Takashimaya Sq, Singapore.

Although my dress is so not from Alexander McQueen dan my heels juga bukan dari Manolo Blahnik, I think the neckline, the length of the dress and the almost-very-same-shaped glasses copied the look, dalam 60% pun jadilah.

Just in case you are curious, or if you want to find more reasons to criticize me,
scroll through for where I got my wear:

Dress
: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Clutch: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes juga
Shoes: Bukan Shoes, Shoes, Shoes tapi Aldo
Belt: Zara
Glasses: cK
Hair set: Raymond from Peek-A-Boo, Bangsar (he almost fainted when I asked him if it's wise to put up a blue bird on my hair as per Carrie's wedding do)
Nail & Toes Colour: Glitters, Bangsar ViIIage using OPI's Eiffel For This Color (from new OPI: France colours, I love them!) Even my manicurists got sick of my alternate choice over Moon Over Mumbai and Get Me To The Taj On Time from their last OPI: India colours. They even had, or still have this regal blue colour named Yoga-Ta Get This Blue! Tapi tak pernah berani lah nak pakai blue, nanti lipstick kena sentiasa biru juga.. And my mom will pengsan and be turned to blue too)

.. or keep (or start if you haven't started) checking the cool and rawking Tongue In Chic website for new and hip places of what-to-wear and where-to-buy!

Thanks again, Tongue In Chic for the fashionable launch
and most importantly, for the fashion for clue-less and style-less girls like me!

The Day Whoo Hoo, I &hearts Sex?

Dear Diary,

It was not unusual to get stared at. THERE.
So at first I just ignored the aroused eyes.

But then when girls kept rolling their eyes as I passed them by,
I thought they were plain jealous. THAT I have seen the movie.

But when my housemate prompted,
"Are you sure you're wearing THAT out for Friday lunch?",
I just had to check myself again in the mirror.

Really?
It couldn't be that bad, could it?

During that Friday lunch, I asked another yoga teacher to take a picture of me and..
damn, my t-shirt has been stating

all this while!

And I bought them in both colours!
All the way from the only shop that carried Bitten in Singapore!

But come on, who doesn't, kan?

Who doesn't heart Sex And The City, i mean.

P.S. Pardon the hundred-pimples forehead and under-eye bags,
things at work has been really stressing me out for the past couple of months.

The Day We Striped In The City

Dear Diary,

It was one of the most fun, lively and lovely weekend.

As we were about to enter the border,
one of the Abang Kastam asked my Supertall, "Eh, pelakon ke?"
Ha haaa haaa! Dah kata, dah..

We had so much fun matching our shirts throughout the Singapore trip.

Little did I know when I first met this Supertall six months ago, he owns like a dozen if not more RL polo shirts that I love him in! And his shoes, aiyooo.. kalah perempuan! When I go for mostly Aldo and Shoes, Shoes, Shoes (and to me, that's expensive already!), his shoe racks penuh with Prada, Ferragamo, Campers and check out his new and masih berkilat Tod's loafers in the 'kangkang' picture! Expensive tastenya boyfriend aku ni, Subhanallah..

I thank another beautiful couple (I match-made Nellie and her Mr. Sunshine, you know.. But for them, Nellie's the one with the expensive taste!) for adding colors to our weekend (and pictures. Kalau tak, belang dan cokelat saja) in The Lion City.

Mr. Supertall and I ourselves were a product of matchmake from my other bestfriend, Tasha's brother.

Abang Bert simply asked me sometime last year, "Ninie, tak sedih ke single? Tak nak boyfriend ke?"

"Tak mau lah, abang Bert.. I tengah enjoy single life to the max ni. I'm finally staying on my own, got new job and having the time of my life. Kecualilah, you have an exceptionally tall, botak, Chinese-looking and English-speaking guy friend, baaaru I nak. He hee.."

"Oh my God, I've got just the right person for you, Ninie! Kawan I masa kat Dublin dulu, tapi bukan macam Cina, macam Jepun. Muka dia macam Arash Mohamad, nak?"

And the rest they say, is history.

'Be calm - love me -
today - yesterday -
what tearful longings for
you - you - you -
my life - my all - farewell,
Oh continue to love me -
never misjudge the faithful heart,
of your beloved.

Ever thine.
Ever mine.
Ever ours.'

By Ludwig Van Beethoven
from SEX AND THE CITY The Movie

Anna-Rina refuses to take credit for all the lovely couple photos she shot sebab dia kata, "Belum edit lagi, don't credit me!". But they are still absofuckinglutely gorgeous, woman.. Thank you for everything and it was actually quite fun having you as our tiang lampu :)

Thank you for the most 'colorful' and lovely weekend I have ever experienced, Sayang.
And happy 6th-month anniversary.

I pray for a hundred more to come.

The Day I Had Sex And The City in The Lion City (and got Carrie-d away..)

Dear Diary,

Despite some transportation glitches and money lost on Singapore Great Sale,
I had the best of time in Singapore watching the best movie ever, SEX AND THE CITY The Movie.

Don't worry, no spoiler here.
Although if you watch it here when it comes in July 27th,
it will be at least 20 minutes shorter.

But I bet, you'll still get carrie-d away
and if you're a drama queen like me, you'll laugh every 10 seconds, cry every 10 minutes and
throw a standing ovation in the end.

We wore dresses and killer heels to the 9.55pm show!

I also shrieked in the cinema when I heard this Kissing song Azmi & I always use during our partner yoga performances as one of the soundtracks in the movie!

Sad to share that I think it is their last week of showing Sex And The City in their cinemas for there was only one showing per day at our time of visit.

While visiting their mega shopping complexes,
I came across a shop that carrie-s Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker!

Without thinking twice, I immediately bought the I Heart Sex And The City t-shirt! In both colours! I also bought Sex And The City the movie coffee book table in Takashimaya's Kinokuniya, it was like, in front of my eyes, how can I not..

I also trapped myself into buying SJP's Lovely 100ml EDP and Liquid Satin because my first bottle of Lovely has long finished and I don't quite find Covet as Lovely.

And just so that I can carrie home this limited edition Sarah Jessica Parker perfumes' umbrella! Doncha wanna be under my umberella, ella, ella?

Will blog and share more pictures on the Singapore trip,
but now Carrie gotta start coloring unpacking.

I see lotsa handbags and Charles & Keith shoes, help!
Any Jennifer Hudson efficient-personal-assistant / 'Saint Louis from St. Louis' for me?
