The Day I've Never Felt More Of A (errr..) Celeb?

Dear Diary,

THIS has got to be bar bone, the most memorable party I attended and participated in, this year.

That was me on big screen turning everyone on the floor into Trees (Vrikshasana)!

Event: adidas Women Event FW '08
Venue: The Gardens Hotel, Midvalley
Date: September 10, 2008 Time: 7 - 10.30pm
Emcees: Jien and Henry Golding

I did not get to take pictures on my own camera, because my battery died and I left it charging in the 'ambassadors' waiting room' throughout. When it was finally charged, my session was finished and most of the celebs have left. So I missed out once in a lifetime year opportunity to be in pictures when I get to pretzel Amber Chia, Deborah Henry, Sazzy Falak, Daphne Iking (nasib baik selalu jumpa Daphne) and many more.

Thanks to some of the participants that night (thanks Janice! Thanks Janet!) that tagged me on Facebook & to Femmething, Ringo and Joyce so I can still share these pictures of how grand and fun of an event it was, and of what you have missed that night.

[Photo credits and thanks to Janice, Janet, Femmething.com, Cheeserland.com and Kinkybluefairy.net

Henry read this while introducing me to the media and participants during the star 'catwalk':

"Ninie Ahmad is our celebrity yoga instructor and yoga ambassador. This small girl joined Nescafe Kickstart Season 3 last year with big dream to publish Malaysia's first yoga magazine but did not win the RM150,000 cash grand prize. To Ninie, not winning does not mean losing. To date, she has published two yoga magazines on her own and in process of building her yoga empire in Kuala Lumpur. Living yoga as her lifestyle and living Impossible Is Nothing as her mantra, Ninie is dubbed Malaysia's most flexible if not most successful yoga instructor."

Can I get that written on my tombstone as well?

Finishing pose at my catwalk, with Jien niceeeeeeeeeely mocking me at the back, not bad!

Unintended waldrobe malfunction :P on the magical adidas Techfit Powerweb.
Kenot help lah..

Daphne Iking, Lavin Seow and Fouziah Gous looking ever so serene during my session.
Either I was really good or they are really good actresses!

Sizzling Sazzy, I love her because she's so cool (and hot!) and she's as small as me!

With Joyce Wong, [who is NOT smaller than me :( ]
whom IMHO, more known and a bigger celebrity than all of us ambassadors combined.

Celebrity blogger, Amanda
proving Impossible Is Nothing

Yours truly and her dearest housemate, Henry Golding who was also the emcee of the event, alongside Jien. If you can believe me, I did not vouch Henry to adidas, everybody simply seems to love Henry! I'm so proud of him, and to be able to claim that we go home together every night, ha haa!

One of my last poses for the session, Boat II Pose (Navasana II). So bad of me forcing everyone into doing this almost-impossible pose, heh heh.. But you know what, in adidas and on adidas' yoga mat, almost everyone in floor was doing it! Very impressive, ladies!

Everyone in their favourite pose, Child Pose (Balasana), heh heh.
Oh so serene. Oh that's a nice tattoo.

The participants seemed to be loving me! I love you too!
I spotted Tria, winner of ntv7's Audition Season 1.
I actually rooted and voted for her back then, tau!

More of their happy faces. Told ya', each and every one will bag home RM500
worth of goodie bag!
Rugi tak datang, woo!

All the female ambassadors (except for Christien New, how did you end up there lah?) with the sporting big boss of adidas Malaysia. Encik Darren Choy, we love you long long time!

With most of the participants and celebrities participating that night. Yes, no prize in distinguishing which one is Ninie. I did not even wear push-up or tried to kepit OK..

Useless fact: I had the hardest of time posing for the media that night, every angle I tried to bend and twist might cause the pictures to undergo heavy tiles pixelation before they can make it to prints!

I can never thank adidas enough so I will forever thank them for the exposure (I immediately saw myself on Bernama@tv the next day!), for the opportunity to handle a roomful of celebrity stars, star bloggers, medias and amazing participants (I couldn't have made it without your support and enthusiasm!), for the amazing Techfit Powerweb I had the honour to officiate;

and for all the more reason to keep believing that
Impossible Is Nothing,
for me.

Your 'Celebrity' Yoga Instructor hearts you too.

Hey Ninie babe,
Namaste.
It's been awhile and I am truly happy (but definitely not shocked) to see the star quality in you. I enjoyed looking at the Adidas event pics very much! Err, waldrobe malfunction? Where's Justin? ;)

Since I almost don't watch TV at all, I don't know any of the local stars but they are definitely beautiful! Why is it a women-only event?! Next time, ajak-lah I; I can wear skirt or dresses also with a couple of coconut shells! Just kidding! :) Ironic enough, the MCs are men! hmm... some guys have all the luck, huh?

Anyway, let's stay in touch. I know we are cos we are united in our yoga practice.
Cheers!

Funny.

Adidas is known for its conservative sports attire.

Guess someone broke the mould.

Good luck!

Hi Ninie,
I'm glad that you had a lot of fun...I enjoy reading ur blog and sometimes u r just damn funny...just a word of advice..as a fellow sister in Islam, I embrace modernisation and I have no problem at all with urban Muslim girls...but maybe you ought to be more careful with the pics that you post..I know that you may not really mind, but I found some of the pics a wee bit on the offensive side..you write really well my dear and you do not need to share those unnecessary pics to gain more readers..NEVERTHELESS, keep on writing kay =)
