The Day Home Is Where beyoga Flyers Are

Dear Diary,

I hope my housemates don't mind
the hundreds of 2' X 6' buntings and the tens of thousands A5 flyers
lying around the house for the past week before they make way for distribution tomorrow.

And come tomorrow,
I hope residents of Damansara Perdana, Mutiara Damansara, Bandar Utama and TTDI
will start seeing our buntings and receiving our flyers in their mailboxes!

Tell me if you DON'T see them by end of this week and if you DO see / get them,
you'll know how to be with us.

And you won't want to miss your early-bird discounts.

The Day Doncha Wish Your Housemate Was Blur Like Anna

Dear Diary,

The three of us plus Supertall and his Superflexible friend
went to our neighbourhood-friendly orange-coloured restaurant at Mutiara Damansara
after Henry's Quickie@8tv shift earlier (useless info: Quickie had Yusry KRU as their guest tonight, aku marah!).

After I ordered my usual tomyam cendawan,
dengan confidentnya and a twang Henry ordered, "Can I have one Nussy Gorrayng American?"
resulting us to crack into hysterical laughter.

Henry: Ahhh, USA.. Ok, ok.. By the way, I learned another new Malay word at the office today. K-U-L-U-M.

(Laughter)

Anna: What is 'kulum' again?

Superflexible: You seriously don't know what kulum means?

Anna: Shit, I don't know! Aku Melayu separuh je.

Supertall: It's NOT a bad word, really.

Anna: No, tell me!

Henry: Go ask the waiter.

Anna: How do I ask? Abanggg, nak kulum? Can?

(LAUGHTER)

Now we are back at the house rolling marijuana,
kulum
Henry (I wasn't finished) punya lollipop dalam fridge
and lounging around our house naked.
'American' style.

Good night!

The Day Doncha Wish Your Housemate Was Hot Like Henry

Dear Diary,

In case you don't follow,
I have another famous housemate (since Henry dengan I kan femes),
Her name is Anna-Rina and IMHO, she is easily the most photographed photographer in Malaysia
(like how aku dengan tak humblenya selalu claim, 'I am the most visible yoga instructor in Malaysia' jugak).

Henry, Anna and I click because
- we collect three-striped shoes
- we love working-out probably as much as you love eating everything
- kami bertiga kuat berlagak dan memang super very the perasan. Perasan famous, perasan fit, perasan segalanya.

Since all three of us don't have to wake up at 5 in the morning,
queue to catch LRT to go to work and even go to work at all for that matter,
we have all the time in the world to do stuff together
(You don't get anyone else berlagak like this).

Apart from going to Deutches Gasthaus downstairs having beer every night,
smoking pot and crack at home every morning and
having threesomes in the living room every weekend,
we are also often seen;

..shamelessly posing for countless publications

..making faces in front of our food and drinks at Stabak, Khanna or Fatty Crab

..rockclimbing every Wednesday without fail
(walaupun for the past five weeks, aku dengan Jehan je yang tak pernah fail datang)

..yoga next to our swimming pool some random mornings

..whacking golf balls at driving range near our house on Sunday afternoons

and doing monkey business especially when we have a certain supertall guest around

(DISCLAIMER:
1. Kalau Anna takde dalam gambar, mungkin sebab dia yang ambik gambar
2. Kalau gambar tak clear, mungkin sebab bukan Anna yang ambik ambar)

If you must ask,

kenapa kau carik pasal, Ninie.
Carik housemate lelaki?

Mat Salleh pulak tu.

Dulu Tom, sekarang Henry.

Kau gatal bebenor ke?

Juling mata tengok jantan mat salleh ke?

If you can take it,

1. I stayed and grew up in an all-girl boarding school for five years. GIRLS BITCH.
And most of them watch lame DVDs and don't listen to good music
(I'm sorry but I judge you by movies and bands you worship)

2. When I used to stay at that big house at Bangsar, the rent was RM2500 a month and pening tak hengat carik, saper sanggup bayar RM2500 bahagi dua dengan aku sebulan. Not to mention, saper yang sanggup come up with almost RM5000 EACH upfront for 2+1 deposit and half-month utility bills. I couldn't ask for a better candidate than Tom at that time. Pandai cakap Melayu (sebab English aku kan lintang pukang), perangai tak macam tipikal Melayu jantan Melayu, tak juling mata tengok aku and that he worships Radiohead too.

3. When it comes to jantan, engkau Melayu ke, mat salleh ke, sunat ke, tak ke, asal berhabuk cakap omputih (supaya boleh betulkan grammar aku), asal tak kaki perempuan, asal ketiak dan hati tak busuk, boleh je cuba apply. Kalau nak lah. Cuma kalau berkenan kat aku, kena tahan lah. I am not and will never be your typical perempuan Melayu. I don't get cheap thrills getting winked by guys in shiny BMW, I don't blatantly equate bersekedudukan with zina and I don't find pleasure in hurting strangers with my words. If you can't accept that, then you might not be the guy for me. If you can't be happy with how I live my life, then we should be thankful we are never housemates in the first place.

I end this with this,
one of my favourite songs.

"Here we are,
foreign to their world.

Straight and composed,

your sermons I can do without,

and I finally found.

That everybody loves to love you

when you're far away..

Could it be we've done something wrong,
we'd make it home to your place before dawn,

"Please, don't drive me home."

"Please, don't take me home."

Blame us 'cause we are who we are,

hate us 'cause you'll never get that far,

and who'd suppose you would go?

I've already learned enough to know."

~AT THE STARS, Better Than Ezra

Dedicated to my dearest housemates
whom I always look forward to come home to
and from their laughter and kindness, I stay this strong.

The Day We Have To MOVE (On)..

Dear Diary,

It feels like yesterday I moved in this house,
trying to mark and validate my life as a big girl in the city.

Today, in midst of sharing my excitement to Singapore tomorrow and partly preparing my soul for the upcoming hari raya, I have to also empty this beautiful house I have been living in for the past 16 months to move to a new neighbourhood, closer to the convenience of my housemates and most importantly, literally, a step closer to my dream - the one my Supertall and I have been working really hard to materialize.

Ahhhh, having stayed in Bangsar since I was 10
to having to stay at the outskirt of PJ
and after a lifetime of staying in a landhouse
to have to stay at an apartment,
will kill me at first, I know.

Home sweet home,
goodbye sweet home

On the brighter side, we get beautiful swimming pools, better security (since Henry is getting more and more famous!) and it will be nice to finally stay near to my future first property and literally, above my supremacy dream.

What dream am I talking about here?

Just a teaser,

to those fresh and avid yoga practitioners,
working and living around the radius of Taman Tun, Bandar Utama, Damansara Perdana, Mutiara Damansara, Tropicana, Kepong, Mont Kiara, Kota Damansara:
DO NOT sign-up with any yoga centres near you just yet,

FOR
something big,
something white,
something Zen,
something that will change your life,
something that will revive your journey in yoga

is coming to you in November.

So yes,
October I come,
November I conquer.

But as for now,
Anna-Rina and I gotta get back to packing and box lifting!
Tsk tsk..

The boot is made for filling!

And our Donation For Charity lorry is here!

It sure feels good to spring clean and give away half of your house, man..

Anna-Rina said, "Babe, engkau tak sayang ke? You bought those furniture with your own money!" which I replied with, "Well, at least the orphans will appreciate them more than I had and hopefully God will pay me back in time to come," with a grin.

Do you know you can also pay them to move your things?
Your money goes to charity and they can also clear up
the things you do not wish to keep,
and donate them to charity houses or get them recycled!

Call 016-203 7022 or 016-221 1122
for more details or simply for a good cause.

The Day Push Has Come To Shove

Dear Diary,

I swear I miss you too.

I am blogging from my young Henry's laptop since my PC has not stopped acquiring network address for almost a month now (everyone else in the house gets connected, except for me. Any idea, any tech expert outhere? We are running on a wireless router), so I can't be long.

A little something before I get my connection back,
and before Henry wakes up that is ;)
(oh, he is the new 8TV Quickie host, yo!)

Since my blog is outdated, everyone else now is reading this yoga blog instead. Since that's the only site I can get my ears on things that are never explained enough and of promises that are not materialized, now I can't get enough of it too.

Happy belated birthday, Chi!
