The Day There Is A Book For Every Idiot: from 'Idiot's Guide to Ashtanga' to 'That Idiot's Just Not That Into You' and even 'How To Sell To Idiots'!

Dear Diary,

Ok lah. I exaggerated a little bit.
I am one of the idiots that had been buying those alike titles.

For the past ten years, they have been my loyal tea companions.

For the past couple of years, in between of those above,
I found reading these helped me be more grateful and understand that
1. 'In order to change the world, I have to change first' and
2. 'If I'm not happy about something, do something to change it.
If I can't change it, change my attitude to STOP COMPLAINING'.

Well, for the next couple of months, you will catch me reading a lot of this:

Oh yes, the memoribilia background intended :)

Those What To Expect When You Are Expecting and the likes,
can be expected in ermmm, another ten years to come, OK?

You said: 2. 'If I'm not happy about something, do something to change it.
If I can't change it, change my attitude to STOP COMPLAINING'.

Thanks for that. You just stopped me from doing something really mean to a certain health club which ticked me off just recently.

in my honest opinion, wrong books to read.

understanding your niche and protecting it will keep you in the business.

selling comes naturally when you understand the niche.

if you want to really read something useful, read ones that inspire. in the long run you'll still stay enthusiastic and feel that you can do it.

books like 'codename:ginger', 'iwoz' and the apple story by Steve Jobs and the google story works too.

another one is 'black swan'.

all this mumbo jumbo selling to idiots and writing business letters just read on the internet.

oh and read something about creating and measuring a marketing campaign. Distinguish the difference between marketing and promotions will help as well. there are tonnes of resources online about it.

A successfully measured and planned marketing campaign keeps you on track with your goals.

just some of my experience.

of course I wasn't called up by the Youth Conference :P

which I think is a load of crap. no not you.

at the end, its a big sales event. sigh.

I've been among one of your silent reader and I must say I just love to know more females are taking control of their life...and instead of "you are what you eat", I think "you are what you read" is more appropriate.

I'm not gonna wish you good luck on your BE, coz I don't think you need LUCK. Because I believe if we rely on luck, perhaps we hardly ever 'ask'. But if we know how to 'ask', we shall receive. And I know you know it well...

All the best to you, Ninie Ahmad.
