(Warrior = Srikandi)
Last Saturday, a couple of tens of us Srikandis (Stupe, if ex-RMCs are known as OPs, we also have SKs initiated in front of our names) went for a shoot at KLCC park for our high school's Golden Jubilee memorabilia. We met our seniors from as early as SPM batch '72 (they are even older than our mothers) to juniors as immediate as SPM '05 leavers. We might look different now, some have groomed from curled unruly hair to golden blonde locks, some have gained couple of tens of kilos; but one thing for sure, whenever we are among ourselves, we'll start with our 'after' (the term we used to book a turn / queue) tradition. We aftered ourselves for mostly everything that noon, from taking turns for the video shoot to writing down our e-mails (since many many many of the old SKs want to start yoga sessions with me).
All of us had tonnes of laughters, reminiscing the times when we were young and dangerous, sharing our favorite phrases back in school, recalling when we used to hide in our locker just to not go for prep class, when we used to eat Maggi out of 'gayung' and all other crazy thoughtless things we did when we were only 13. It was more than 10 years ago but not surprisingly we can still remember which dorm each of us lived in, what names we were called by and the worst of punishments we ever gotten ourselves into.
Like the old times, be it in the surau, in front of the dining hall, at the corridor near the toilet; we'd pose, we'd gedik and smile to the camera whenever there's nuance of light flashing and so we did. A fellow formmate who used to be the unofficial photograher for the school and now writes beautifully in her blog, took my warning of having to 'blur' my face if one is to upload our pictures from the gathering tad too seriously, resulting to this

And in true spirits of the 50 years celebration like other STFians that blog, too, I, SK Ninie Ahmad from batch SPM '99 also want to put this logo up, proud and soaring in my blog and wishing the alma mater that turned and shaped me into the person I am today, a screaming
HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY
