The Day As It Is

Dear Diary,

Today, my definition of:

BLISS IS

.. coming home to a calm, warm and heavenly-candle-scented room
after a long, hot, sunny Friday afternoon. And it rained just as I comfortably
snugged myself under that favourite comforter of mine for my afternoon nap.

GORGEOUS IS

.. this tailor-made dress from Syaiful Baharim, Plaza Damas
I claimed mine on my birthday.

SURPRISE IS

.. this pair of 5-inched patent wedges I told my mom
"Along dah lama suka yang ni.
Nanti lah, bila-bila Along ada duit semula, baru Along beli.
Raya ni tak payah kasut baru pun takpe"

(Translation [for my non-Malaysian readers]:
"I've been eyeing this pair for quite some time.
In time, when I have money again, then I will buy these.
I'll make do with what I have for Hari Raya this year")

in which she immediately criticized,
"Tinggi sangat tu, jangan beli dulu lah!"

(Translation: "Those are too high pair of heels for you!
If you must, but try not to buy them.")

when I accompanied her hari raya heels-hunting at The Gardens,
a week before hari raya.

For my birthday last week,
she surprised me.

FUNNY IS

.. Gamarjobat. It's amazing how they can make everyone laugh
without having to utter a single spoken word.
And how laughter sounds the same in every language.

ROMANTIC IS

.. a candle-lit supper for two at Bora Asmara
(I'm sorry but I have tried, a couple of times yet
I still don't find their dinner as good as their ambiance.
Not that their coffee and our dessert were satisfactory too.
And those who know me know that I hardly complain about my food..)

LOVE IS

.. waking up at 7am tomorrow (Saturday morning) for a long drive
to beraya at Supertall's parents' house.

Thank you, that is really very sweet of you.

let me remain a mystery:
Right? Never knew my mom (actually reads this blog) and was capable of such sweet surprises.

anonymous:
I HIGHLY AGREE WITH YOU! But the set-up too beautiful to not come again. Even if it's just for a cup of coffee or Es Jeruk Kelapa. Lesson learned: Have dinner someplace else first :)

ms nellie:
He hee, cantik kan?
Will definitely bring you there, any day.
The trip was fun as usual, nonetheless Kuantan is Superhot!

anonymous:
Three inches shorter, actually! When you are at exactly 5 feet, even inch matter, you see. He he..

I prefer way short dresses and skirts especially for they make me look way taller.

But sometimes I need long gowns and dresses for more formal and grand events. And I didn't wear any shoes nor heels in that picture. Hu huu..

the lazy turtle:
Thank you!
I can't stop wearing those wedges!
Sangat suka!

ping:
Especially for you, yes :)
Which Ping is this?
That other post is a bit too lengthy and IMHO wouldn't be as funny and effective if translated :).

Ninie... I've to agree Bora Asmara's food is not as great as it's ambiance. At the end, you kinda paid for the gorgeous place they have... me likey! ;)
