The Day I Continue on Wishing

Dear Diary,

The very Friday I posted the previous entry
filled with my (material) birthday wishes and this graffiti
on the Superwall of my supersweet girlfriend Nellie

something terrible happened to her that very Jumaat too.
She was robbed right in front of her house in Setiawangsa.

Three guys hopped in her car and tried to steal the car.
My superbrave Nellie managed to escape from her car yet tripped and fell. Despite her bleeding hand and knees, she was safe and is now recuperating at home.

The very same day too, they confirmed that the body of a girl found stuffed in a sports bag at a shophouse on Monday is that of adik Nurin Jazlin Jazimin who has been missing since a month ago.

I can't help to not cry reading the news.
I have little sisters of almost same age with Nurin,

(Don't get any funny ideas, ok?
They might be cute do yoga like me
but they're only 11 and 6)

can't help but to have imagined what would I do,
how crazy and heartbroken I'll be,
will I be able to live my life the same,
will I be able to look through people and see their kindness first,

touch wood that I'd have to ever experience this
to anyone immediate and close to me.

So for my birthday,
I also wish for (seriously),
kindness in people and peace to the world.

Ninie, sorry to hear about your friend. Hope she's okay now. What has become of our world that we ladies still can't get out of our house feeling all worried about terrible things?

Darling,

Thank you for this post and thank you for immediately rushing to my comfort. I hope those baddies get to take extra caution now onwards especially during this festive season.
