From page 20,
NST 16 April 2007
If I can paraphrase,
"With the money, I will celebrate with my supporters before embarking on a charity show. The remaining amount will be used for the expansion of my dance studio and also my parents."
Let me share the main reason to why
I am still unsettled, upset and very angry.
You voted for me, you have to know this.
I am still unsettled, upset and very angry.
You voted for me, you have to know this.
I was actually told by one of the judges after the show,
they feel that Joo Nee would need the money more than me.
That they feel my contacts, clientele and celebrity friends would help me pull through with my dream after this.
WOW.
RM150,000 to continue paying for rent if she has no students?
RM150,000 to continue paying her instructors?
RM150,000 to throw a huge dance party?
RM150,000 to thank her parents?
I was prepared to lose over SMS difference,
I would be ready to not win if HatiYoga was a crappy magazine,
I would feel less bitter if Derek was the winner.
But this.
LOSING OVER 'FEELING', IS NOT FORGIVABLE.
So, go ahead ask me
- if the winner needs that much money?
NO
- if the winner was the best among all 4?
NO
- if I think operating a dance studio is not hard?
NO. I RUN A YOGA STUDIO TOO. FOR 7 YEARS.
BIG DEAL.
- if my celebrity friends would pay for my printing (1000 copies of magazine with 1000 VCD cost RM15,000 to print, imagine 10000 copies with 10000 VCD, sans distribution and bookstore fee)?
NO
- if I cared the judge(s) might read this?
NO. I KNOW THEY ARE READING THIS.
- if I want them to regret their choice?
YES
- if I think I was the best?
YES
- if I think having published Malaysia's first is a big deal?
HELL YES
- if I think I had the strongest idea to begin with?
YES
- if I think I came out with a very impressive if not best product and final outcome?
YES
- if I think I needed and deserved 150K the most?
YES
- if I think I flawed the system for not winning?
YES
- if I hate shallow people that vote on cute factor?
YES
- if I was never this angry?
YES
- if yoga instructors are humans too?
YES
- if I am a sore loser?
YES
- if this loss would change me as a person?
MAYBE
If you had followed my journey,
if you have a copy of HatiYoga,
if you knew how much effort I put in materializing and compiling the magazine and VCD,
if you knew how much money I spent to vote for myself to make sure the best wins,
if you were at the Grand Finale hall,
if only you heard what one of the judges told me,
if you'd read today's NST,
you'd allow me to be this bitter and angry.

tell me ninie which judge is this and we shall seal his fate.
*kneels to await orders*
p/s, we also got gasoline and party crashers for the "charity show".
this is EXACTLY one of the MANY reasons a business venture can fail.
apa la judges. I thought Ninie lost out because SMS voters can be swayed to vote due to the following reasons: someone is cute , chinese or malay , 1000 cousins voting 100 times a day.
But if what you say is true, coming from a judge, someone whom I think should have the clarity on the matter, should NEVER just judge based on 'I FEEL'. You should be the wise one Mr Judge, not the stupid one.
kepala hangguk dia.
macam tuh baik I give a sappy story during my last 30 second pitch.
which..err..someone did actually do right...
*psstttsstststs*
*sizzling with anger too*
Its very clear that you should invest RM 150k to a business that will work and not because I FEEL SHE NEEDS IT MORE THAN SOMEONE ELSE.
very unprofessional and unwise decision if it was based like that.
now it makes me wonder how the hell this people get to being a judge.
now that you've vented.
breath easy. breath easy.
I'm prouder of you to even write this and let them read. Sama la.. I wouldnt sob quietly while mulut terkumat kamit somewhere. We know it make sense, say it. Sian u. cam teraniaya big time.
which judge? dr irfan? azah? or the chinese guy?
Nini, come now, breathe easy.
You have said what you MUST.
Now, it's time to plan.
We are with you.

Nini.....for the better okay, for the better. We don't want to lose THE Nini.
breaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaathe.
-ladysoul-
oh Ninie, I so feel you. a time to rend!
and yes, I too would feel less tak puas hati if Derek was the winner because as a lawyer, I believe in his cause. but Joo Nee? they've got to be kidding me!
dear ninie,
this is the EXACT reason why i never root for competitions with SMS thingy.. They suck big time I tell you..
Honestly speaking, Derek deserves so much better than Joo Nee. But then again, Malaysian voters are known for their unpredictabilities, ahahaha..
I have a copy of your HatiYoga and personally, I think it's brilliant. But then babe, years from today, you'll be happy and contented with all the great achievements that you have achieved and the sore voter and judges (oopps!!) will be scratching their heads like maniacs..
Much love darling!
believe in yourself
Ninie,
I am a SORE bloody loser too. :) But, it's ok. Allow yourself to feel everything and bounce back stronger than ever.
We all know that you deserved it the most. When all the dust clears, maybe you should try approaching PUNB or MARA for funds.
ingatkan judges tu nak cakap
'i feel u shud win but she win because of sms'
ingatkan macam tu so walaupun hati remuk dan jantung bagai terjatuh bila nama org lain yg disebut, redha je laa hari tu.
tapi kalau ini reality nyer..rase nak marah balik.
marah dan kecewa.
at least reality tv yg lain, takder laa buat 'keputusan' ****** macam ni.
ingatkan 'diorang' cukup cerdik.
emmm..
~tetiba dah rase nyampah nak minum nescafe but i'm still ur biggest fan.
(nnt i email mintak address nak antar kad jemputan - of course u r invited :)
Ninie - i believe in you strongly. Just like any other TV show, you ahve to believe me when i say they producer already has the winner in mind after the first 2 show.
if not, me and Bandit would had been 100k richer with 2 business class ticket to anywhere in the world.
just like Chocolat says....breath easy. It would be more fun to see JN struggle. RM150K is not a lot of money to begin with when it comes to operating a business.
you did well, i've been following the show and i've gotten some of the old boys to vote and root for you too.
sometimes you need to stop for a while and reflect on yourself. you are a loose canon when it comes to writing. imagine if you have your own magazine, and something pisses you off. are you going to lash it out in your magazine?
i think the sms voters & judges made the right decision.
lashing out like this will soothe your heart... for a while. trust me dear, you're a professional. be one. we love you.
ninie
juz relax and stay calm.i know how u feel.im shock to as JN win it coz i dont see any VALUE or HARDY on her.
but hellya, thngs happened for a reason.Juz keep prayin and motive, insyallah Allah will shower u with more gr8 success.PROUD OF U WITH NO DOUBT!
Everything happens for a reason, and it's always for our own good whether we understand it or not. If it's not written in your rezeki to win, you won't despite your efforts.
I also believe that you've got to give her some benefits of the doubt e.g.
-yes, the judge felt that the celebs would help you - but was this the only reason why you lost? Maybe she did get more SMS vote
-yes, she'll celebrate with her supporters, but how much will she spend on this 'huge dance party'?
-thanking her parents: again we have no idea how much she's gonna spend on this - maybe not much at all
-the cute factor - you might've scored some points here yourself
The SMS voting system is flawed anyway. ANYONE can win, regardless of his or her talent. Look at Sanjaya, or the farce that is AF.
You've been independent for so long, and this is just a minor hiccup. There are many more ways to realise your dreams, so move on. We expect to read the latest HatiYoga soon. All the best :)
Jom Nini...
Let's start up Hatiyoga Issue 2.
Lets start gathering info like what we used to do in the beginning.
Slowly but surely, we're going to get somewhere. C'mon, we'll help you pick up the pieces.
-TheSoulsisters-
MS FINE
saying 'sms voters & judges made the right decision' is the stupidest thing someone could ever say and write here.
you are jealous if not just stupid.
and not if. she already has her own magazine. and it's brilliant. and no, i've never met ninie but from this site and her magazine, i feel her spirit, honesty and humanity.
this is her blog, her DIARIES, let her say what she wishes. she's angry, let her be. she's sad, help. don't break the girl's broken heart any worse.
fuck them ninie. you're sharing what you feel. and that's why we keep coming back. and we gonna always.
hishhh...mmg harus i boycott nescafe, my fav cuppa which i drink at least twice a day and triple on w/ends and PH...siap ko nescafe!!!!!
thank god i don't drink coffee. never liked it and even more now, never will.
Go AliCafe Tongkat Ali/Ginseng!!!!
Boikot Nescafe!!!
I didnt watch the NKS grand final, but i always thought that you'd win the RM150k...you deserved it!
yeah, this sucks.
the gay team loves you.
Ninie, it's about HatiYoga and your dream is bigger than a kickstart competition's outcome. You know it's not about lashing out at JN personally, you're just transpiring your aching heart out.
Keep that spirit and HatiYoga is bigger than RM150K. It's worth more than that.
And remember, Impossible IS nothing.
All our love and prayers.
Ninie,
rezeki ada di mana2. in my eyes, you really deserve the 150K. semua ni politics. damn, tv is politics!
sabar eh? Tuhan Maha Adil.
how can you blame the sms voters when your strategy from what i see is wrong. you target friends, families to vote for you. whereas JN strategy is to get all the dancers in malaysia to vote for her.
you promote hatiyoga on air, but when viewers go to hatiyoga.com, the site is actually looking for writers with an email link. nothing that says vote for ninie.
on the other hand, JN promotes letsdancemalaysia.com and if you go there, a large poster saying "VOTE FOR ME" with full instructions!
JN get's a bigger vote for introducing "Let's Dance Malaysia" concept. You might not get as much as you might not reaching out enough to yoga enthusiast.
you should make full use of hatiyoga.com because that's the name you have been promoting on air to get more SMS votes. nothing wrong with this blog, just that viewers don't know that you have a blog.
whatever it is, i do hope you bounce back. this is just a minor hicup in a road to success.
ninie,
i don't know you personally, but this is all i can say to cheer you up:
Perseventia Omnia Vincit
"perseverance conquers all".
there's always a blessing in disguise . chin up. move on. don't look back. and most of all, don't wallow in self pity.
you're better than that..
i really thought it was u who's gonna win the money after the 2 boys were announced as the bottom 2. she didnt deserved to win at all. nway, sabar jela eh.
hurm, can I give you a personal take on this one?
in every reality shows, every reality shows that involves voting or judges, the runner-ups always turn out to be the most successful ones.
for example, our recent 'One in a Million' show, where's Suki or Alif? Yang berjaya adalah Faizal.
same goes to other international reality shows.
so, dear Ninie, I know you really needed the 150K, you are one of the rare Malaysian breed who are very objective and determined in realising your dreams.
But you'll make the 150K before the winner can even start to create her business plan or make business contacts. The show has done you good in putting you on a high platform. Given your business savvy skills, you'll get sponsorships easily.
I won't give any business advise. I bet you got more experienced people to help you there.
If there's ever a Cosmic Book of Records, You're definitely deserve a 5 page spread in it. Most definitely! okayla, maybe I shud put that as my dream alongside to publishing my poetry. Hahahaha ....
Be strong Ninie. You're there already. (",)
Hugs and Kisses.
-abs-
Ninie,
I am a Libra too. We get angry for the right reasons.
I'm behind you all the way!
Takpa, ikut resam Tiga Abdul, hari ni hari dia, esok hari you pulak.
~hugs~
ninie .. you don't have to win the comp to be the winner. you are already a winner to me! am sure you will have the opportunity quite soon to continue your journey with HatiYoga magz.. you're brilliant, everyone knows that! although we just met once .. if you remembered (the jb gal haflin brought for yoga) but i think you're blardy amazing and am proud to be one of your students.. well, at least for a day. looking forward to more. stay gorgeous ninie .. hope to see ya soon !!!
Dear sis
Believe that our 'yearning' power is more important than our 'earning' power. Success is determined by taking the hand you were dealt and utilizing it to the very best of your ability. Lousy losers always end up as winners. Remember, eventhough the way a person wins shows much of her character, the way she loses shows all of it.
You can. Rahmat Allah tak bertepi.
SK '80
i was away in vietnam that day, i prayed so hard that you'd win. i came back to the office today and the first thing i checked was ur blog. and how dissapointing.
but judging from these comments, u've won so many hearts. go HATI!
aku sama la macam AM
iksh menari mcm cheapo
tu la aku cakap unless miracle happen, adalah hati yoga second issue.
kita wat mcm afdlin sahuki nak??ship in duit ramai2 ngeheheheeh
chg for the better, kay?
future conversation with my children(children???): "aunty ninie started those(pointing to my hatiyoga collection) from scratch tau! you work hard like her, ok?"
rather than:" aunty ninie pernah menang this reality show.. apetah nama shownya... "
the worst thing about it all is; the winner is a lousy dancer...if she is allowed to call herself a dancer, i think i can call myself mother teresa!!! i am so dissapointed with the judges...haylow...open your eyes people!!!! its ok nins! its a stoopid reality show by the looks of it!
cool down babe !
kegagalan mmg pahit ! tapi itu bukan penyebab utk tidak terus berusaha.
di hujung terowong yg gelap, ada cahaya menanti anda di hujung sana.
i thought u said when u win the moolah u're gonna use some of it for a mini cooper downpayment,no?:p the dancer just wanna show some appreciation to her supporters,i bet even u would do the same thing too if u had won, yes?
i understand dat dis is ur blog n u can say wutever u wanna say,but dont u think dis is going to give urself a bad name?
be strong babe.stay strong.
oh c'mon atas pagar....give her a break!! she is allowed to do or say whatever she wants. she really deserved the money! i should know. no...she wasnt planning to buy a mini cooper! cos i'm buying her one.
am not ashame to say it.....but i'm joining your sore loser club darling ninie!
cool it babe...it's not the end of the world....raving and ranting about it won't change anything, would it? so fine, bitch a while but then get ur act together and build on this.
atilia,
give her RM 150,000 for her HatiYoga instead of buying her mini cooper.
you should know it?..hmmmm
I'm not sure how some of the supporters came to the conclusion that ninie deserve to win this..don't you guys think that JN supporters will say the same about JN too..or derek for that matter.. or the other guy...GIVE reasons why you think ninie is better than the other three...
I wasn't rooting for anybody but saying JN is not a good dancer etc is not going to help at all..not intelligent if you ask me...
it s true what?plus she is not a certified dancer.
cheap gelek la wei!
owh, come on! i'm sure many peeps hv already seen JN's dance right? there's no graceful'ness in her dancing. it's sooo biasa. *duhh*
anyway, ninie dear.. never give up on ur dreams aight! like one of ur supporter said.. you'll make the 150K before the winner can even start to create her business plan or make business contacts!! yeah, NO DOUBT of that! take care nins.. spill out ur feelings and all, then MOVE ON fast! you're a strong girl at heart.. everyone believes in u & we'll be waiting for ur next HatiYoga SOON, okay?! gambate nehh!!
p/s: this is ninie's blog & she's free to say/write wutever she wishes.. yg sebok tu, senyap rahh! :p
Playing the game fair ... coming out with a very good magazine ... delivering what was promised on Day 1 ... and detailing how the prize money will be used for the development of HatiYoga ...
This is just SOME of the reason why Ninie should have won ... but how was she ‘rewarded’ instead ... ?
Being told by a judge to use her ‘celebrity contacts’ to pursue her dreams ... to expect ‘rich friends’ to just shower her with money ... to suddenly expect everything in the real world is free / done as favors / given at huge discounts ...
If she had these , she wouldn't have to enter the competition in the first place ... !
The judges had a MASSIVE say in the outcome ... they could have made a difference ... instead , they decided they FELT that someone else needed the prize money more ...
It’s true , the winner has the right to use it in any way she please ... But FIRST and FOREMOST , it is about the growth and progress of the dream ... that is what Nescafe Kickstart is about ... !
To Ninie , it's not a car ... no vacation ... no celebrations ... but publishing costs / video shoots / editing / photography / etc ... which anyone with half a brain knows is NOT cheap ... !
IMO , what the winner said in the article above - celebrating / parents / charity - PROVES that she DOES NOT need it ... cause her dream of a dance studio is ALREADY a reality ... and shame on those who couldn’t see it ...
Ninie will bounce back ... no doubt ... but it doesn’t hide the fact that ... for now , her dream was snatched away from her ... her heart broken ...
So go ahead , Ninie ... say what you want and be bitter ... sure as hell , you have the right to be ...
ninie..
i've been following your blog and it's sad to know how the grand finale ended.
i think many of us still believe u can still rise from this bad episode.
u know what it takes to kickstart this dream. u got everything planned. please dont stop now.
just remember one thing.. if your intention is good, pray to God and work hard. insya-allah.. u will find your way.
p/s: Don't let a reality show ruin your dream. It's just for teevee, this is real life :p
harfad
not fair to say JN is not certified/professional dancer...
because ninie also not a professional magazine publisher one :)
Yes, ninie is a professional yoga trainer, but publishing & training is a different ball game. publishing is more business related at a bigger scale. you are targetting Malaysian market. Thus, the question is still unanswered by Ninie during the final- which is DEMAND.
no matter how good the quality of hatiyoga (i beleive it is at a very high quaity), if there's no demand, it will not sell.
i don't think ninie handled the question well. Yes, 1,000 copies of HatiYoga was printed and distributed in 4 adidas outlet- but it was for FREE. distributing magazines for free does not show demand. people will take things that's free.
anyway, just my opinion so we can see both sides.
other side - ahah! but what you didn't see were the behind-the-scenes stuff that Ninie did. amongst many other things, this included;
1) sending the mock up magazine to potential clients (eg; spas, fitness centres, etc) and for your info, there were quite a number of those who expressed interest in advertising in her magazine
2) creating mock up ads to show potential advertisers that HatiYoga will not JUST help you advertise your product BUT personalise your ad to fit your target market of yoga enthusiasts (referring to her Nokia and Levis ad in HatiYoga)
3) getting the inside juice on the publishing world NOT ONLY from her mentor Adrian Yap BUT also 3 or 4 OTHER publishers
4) obtaining feedback from yoga enthusiasts on whether or not they would purchase a magazine like HatiYoga. and guess what? the answer was YES. any why? because at that point in time there were no other LOCAL yoga magazines available. otherside, you do know about the fact that Malaysia imports at least 2 international yoga titles into the country right? why else would these yoga titles be imported IF NOT for the demand?
While there are no exact figures showing the exact number of M'sian population who are interested in yoga, judging from the amount of yoga classes AND yoga centres mushrooming around the country, besides statement no 4, it is fair to say that there already is a fair market out there.
FYI, the short timeline of 3 weeks DID NOT allow Ninie to sell the magazine as she would require KDN license for that. Just to get approval from KDN would require quite sometime.
Her next best alternative was to tie up with a company which allowed her to distribute her magazine. So that bit about "Yes, 1,000 copies of HatiYoga was printed and distributed in 4 adidas outlet- but it was for FREE. distributing magazines for free does not show demand. people will take things that's free" isn't really applicable in this case.
So there, that's also just MY opinion so that I can question YOUR opinion about "the both sides".
I can't speak from an outsiders point of view, but having seen her go through this entire experience since the dream was just a seedling, I know that Ninie DESERVES to win.
Think about this subjectively, I'm not talking about feelings, think about this from a business point of view, do you think the other winner did a better job than Ninie?
Btw, IMHO another one of the main points why I would choose Ninie is because of her people skills.
Now THAT makes a HUGE difference in running a business. No offense to her, I don't see that in the so-called-chosen winner.
Like the ones who have spoken before me above, I sincerely think that even Derek deserves to win instead of JN.
But alas, what's done is done. We'll never know whether or not it was really the judges' decision or whether it was by votes.
What I know for sure is that great injustice has been done.
Ninie - By all means, blog what you want to blog. Like someone else said, this is your (open) diary, I believe that you can say what you want to say.
annaiam: thank you! at least we are talking subjectively and that is good. talking using feelings will make things worse with the bickering and blaming.
it seems that you are an insider and knows what ninie goes through. unfortunately all of that: point 1, 2, 3 & 4 was not presented in the episodes. :(
if they where presented, i might think that the votes would go to ninie. don't you think those are very important points that should be brought forward during the show as that takes care the "business side" of hatiYoga? (those behind the scenes stuff)
because what was highlighted in the show was only "how ninie created the magazine & vcd". hmmm...
on another issue, i am not saying ninie is not good. her personal skills & communicating skills is excellent. however, i hate to be the one to point out that altho this is her diary, but bashing on kickstart reality tv, judges, sms system, joo nie would do her more harm rather than good. it shows unprofessionalism as this diary is open to public. my humble opinion only. no mean to disrespect.
think about it... everybody here are nini's fans- so naturally, everybody will support ninie. but think about what if the people at nescafe reads this. nescafe could be the future sponsor of HatiYoga as you have said. but showing unprofesionalism just does not do the job to get sponsors. what if the other yoga magazine (her real competitor) reads this. they will laugh their heads out for stealing ninie's idea and getting away with it while ninie is showing vurnability. what if other future "could be" sponsors reads this like nokia & levi's... they'll see that ninie is a sour loser (she said it herself, i'm just quoting) and unprofessional. What if other judges reads this?- ninie have mentioned, the statement was passed to her by one judge only. It might be that the other 2 judges do not feel the same. other 2 judges might have voted for ninie but she still loses by sms votes. don't forget it is the same 3 judges that qualified ninie for the RM30,000 win to create the first issue of hati yoga (no SMS involved there). pity the judges that supports ninie as this posting gives them a bad rep. what if the production house that creates kickstart reads this?... again, it shows unprofesionalism, and they might not want to work with ninie anymore in the future. what if other publishers read this? all of these will be a waste as the contacts ninie got during the whole kickstart competition is priceless.
ninie is a public figure now. and being a public figure, she needs to look at the bigger picture.
ps: some lashing & being angry could really help with a simple litle black book diary where feelings are jotted down. not to the public :) MHO
well said 'other side'..
hope the message is clear enough to us
She already won RM30,000..from Nestle/Producer.. be thankful for that at the very least.
You can do still do it Ninie. MARA/PUNB/etc2.
I wholeheartedly disagree that ninie should not vent out her frustration here.
Anyway, I wrote an entry about the competition between joo nee and ninie here: http://bearwithclaws.com/the-reality-show-of-hare-and-tortoise/
how would everyone compare...
the first yoga magazine (ever) that is published by a malaysian, that the whole country could ever be proud of cuz with that 150k it could go to asia, bit by bit internationally - to compare with a dance studio [which we already have (several) in malaysia]
merely judged by who-needs-the-money-for-their-living... not for what they want to achieve ...
If she's serious about getting into this business, why let NKS be in the way?
Wallow if you must but publicly (yes, this is certainly not a private blog right?) bashing the show and even allowing her fans to emotionally express their displeasure? Even mentioning the sponsors in a negative light?
Be thankful that these people (sponsors, judges etc.) allowed you to have the RM30k to kickstart your ambitions in the first place.
Be thankful that you have a strong support group to put you up through this.
Be thankful that even when you lose, you've got the same people to back you up.
If I have to say this, all of the finalist at one point or another struggled to make their way through this. You're not the only one.
Win or lose is part of the game. It would've been singing a different tune if you won instead right?
You're not the only one whose dreams are shattered. Pick up the pieces and move on.
Early Bird
U should stop whining and bitching like a sour loser!
Its a blessing u lost! Its crap to start with, like when u had that special prayer sessions hoping to win the competition.Maybe I should pray to Allah too the next time I go out to buy 4 nombor ekor!!!! Hahahahaaa, right?See what a CRAPPY people u are????
yes, ninie. u should stop bitching and whining like a sodding sourgrape. U are not the only one whose DREAMS are shattered!
Is this what YOGA has taught u?
u go about wallowing in public and question the winner's (Jonee)integrity of winning the 150 K?
Jonee could question U on the same. She has dreams too.
Are u that 'hadap' of rm150k $$$$?
As a moslem, which i'm sure u are, the whinings and bitching as u just wrote in your blog dos not the least reflect what HATI YOGA should be. You might as well drop HATI YOGA for bitching on this 150K business. Furthermore, bawala istighfar banyak-banyak.
Of course, your friends will say all the emphatic things, but here comes the FRANK opinion.
Grow up. Move on. Stop bitching.
There is a loser when there is a winner.
Be thankful in the first place that you were allowed the honour to be in the Nescafe Kikstart @ NTV7, not bitch like a pathetic sourgrape when u lose. U and your friends THINK u shld win. Well, the judges THINK OTHERWISE.
Thank You.

i agree, its just sheer 'unprofessionalism'..
u wanna lash, nini, hav a little black book and jot it down. Not in public. Your statements could demean the integrity of the judges and production house.
naturally your friends and fans will be bias where you are concerned.
be a sport. someone has to lose.
oh shut up. she has moved on, she just needed to rant for a bit.
not a fan of ninie's but not a foe either.
They stole her RM150,000. Only she knows how painful to have that amount of money and hope being taken away from her but read her latest entry,
SHE'S MOVED ON.
If you guys can't help, just shut up and move on too.
Dont worry Ninie, you've had 142+++ visitors now. You'd win your 150000 soon.
You should change the title of this writing 2 "The Day I Show The Real Selfish Me!". Yeah, stop whining like an old whore babe!!
come again? THEY STOLE HER RM 150 k? whoever said that rm150K was for her or she deserved it anyway?
hahahahahahahahaha! i'm sorry, it just tickles us :P it was a fucking contest. there's a winnder and there's a loser. Jo Nee should post one of her opinions here, should she?
yeap, agree with the previous post- stop whining like an old WHORE.
an nini's moved on. yes, we believe her and the comments by the fans.
obviously you people will be bias towards her innit (her friends 7 fans i mean)
selfish bitch. GROW UP! and the fans/friends, stop being bias. it won't get you guys the rm150 K.
Should export this to Jay Leno, titled : The Day I Show The Real Selfish Me!
blearrrrghhhhh!
come again? THEY STOLE HER RM 150 k?
whoever said that rm150K was for her or she deserved it anyway?

i am referring to the above comment. overall, i think all of y'all are big time kiss ass bias people. Any supporter will say good things SUBJECTIVELY about their 'idol'. It can never be an impartial objective statement.
As a moslem, special praying sessions ONLY when u want something is crap. Praying and asking for HIS blessing is an everyday obligation- 5xs a day. no offence.
the other thing is, if nini won the 150 k, she would do the same as to spend it on whatever she needs to spend on.
commenting on what JN will spend on is not an intelligent, in fact its unprofessional. Fall back on your HATI YOGA. why do u have to let the loss of rm 150 k changae u and be bitter about JN's victory? if God doesn't grant you that 150 k, then it was NEVER yours.
grow up. This is not harsh. This is REALITY.

anonymous,
if you are a muslim you should know that there's nothing with havin a prayer session. It's about working very hard and in the end, we should only 'bertawakal pada Allah'.
that was what my religion taught me.
and i think, you are getting more emotional than ninie. which is a tad funny thing.
On a personal note:
""oww cum on Ikram, you really think that burning the judges will get nini obtain her rm150k?
pleaseee..... ""
dey anonymous. (sorry ninie, this fella ngada sikit)
I was referring to burning the charity show. not the judges. obviously you also didnt get that it was a joke for ninie you dimwit. Who the hell carries a pitchfork in kl anyway.
Before you want to 'attack' someone else's comments, please learn to spell "cum" as "come". let me help you, go to dictionary.com if you're not sure in the future ok.
And how do you expect us to respect your comments if you dont respect your own name. sheesh. tembak la same fake name if you so scared we'll hunt you down.
and to another anonymous:
"Its a blessing u lost! Its crap to start with, like when u had that special prayer sessions hoping to win the competition.Maybe I should pray to Allah too the next time I go out to buy 4 nombor ekor!!!! Hahahahaaa, right?See what a CRAPPY people u are???? "
you like the word crap a lot dont you? been watching too many american sitcoms, movies or literature I guess.
woi bukak balik buku solat. There is nothing wrong in solat hajat and definitely something is wrong with you for wanting to solat hajat asking for nombor ekor. becareful what you say. Allah let us solat hajat for the better. To say its a "CRAPPY" idea is sort of saying His idea of solat hajat is wrong. And what, you never solat hajat for better exam results? for someone's health?
There is no wrong is asking for more from God, every religion knows that. He gives what He gives but takes what He takes.
and i suppose- intention to burn the judges is also a good thing innit IKram?
why are u so affected by this? u feel the loss of the rm 150 k too? as i said, and the RESSSTTTTTTTTTTTT OF THE ANONYMOUSSSS said, (other anonymous too) , any fan/close friend/friends of nini will say nice things. It can never be OBJECTIVE.
So, we have our own opinion on this. Live with it. and grow up.
yes, we know sembahyang hajat is good. What the other commenter said, to start off with- the modus perandi is crap. U people want to sembahyang hajat, nini bol;eh buat sendiri. no need to show everyone else that you are having special prayers. :) and besides, i think its more 'afdal' if nini does it herself, right? then flocks of people doing it to support her.
still, she lost. It was never her rezeki and God has ordained that as fate.
look at things in a bigger angle, Ikram. don't be so emotional - smapai nak burn the judges. :P
isit worth it for rm 150k?

isit worth it for rm 150k?
yes ikram, the word cum= come . any idiot with an IQ as low as 40 knows that :)
farnee. oppsss. FUNNY.
well, i obviously understand why you are so bias for nini and unable to look at things in a wider angle. i don't think u even understand what the others say. they don't have anything against nini. they just think venting out in public this way is not appropriate.
Enough said.
oh yes, on behalf of the other anonymous too, i really chuckled on the sembahyang hajat for the 4 nombor thingy. hmm....
and thence, the public blog war on idols have started. *sigh*
aiyo..apa jadikkk one day only and the comment box looked like it's from kenny sia site!
haha
obviously you guys still dont get it. I didnt say to burn the judges. tsk tsk
and lagi afdal buat sendiri? Its lagi afdal lagi ramai.
I dont need to waste my time making my point clear and I'm not affected by nini losing out RM150k, I'm pissed that you attacked my comment. Thats all. Say what you want to say about ninie.
And if you really can read, you can see I'm not even cheesing anyone off for whatever comments they have towards ninie.
aiyo.
ninie, you may have the best or better product.
but dear, in business the best product do not always win. take a look at the examples below:
Windows & Linux. Linux is a better product (really), but Windows wins because of it's strategies.
Coke & Pepsi. Taste test shows that many people choose pepsi instead of coke. But, coke have the better strategy. Coke wins.
And recently, till today, MAWI is definitely not the better product or best product compared to Anwar Zain or Hazami. But hey, his albums sold sooo much more than Anwar & Hazami combined!
Honey, in business, it's not about who has the better product. But it's who has the better strategy and manage to capture the bigger market.
The judges in kickstart are not there for no reason. Bukan mereka saja tak nak u menang..... they don't get anything if you win or lose. They have to make a decision! As I know, two of the judges are very successful business people- Weng Keong & Dr Irfan Khairy. Both have multimillion dollar companes. The 3 judges have to decide based on their experience and knowledge.
I don't think anybody should blame the judges as it is a responsibility given to them based on their expertise. If you supporters say judges are "buta" or "tak pandai judge" or "where the hell do they get this judges from?", think again.
They are business people who have made many times more than RM150,000 from their knowledge, experience and expertise. Give them a break! Trust their judgment. There's a concrete reason why Nescafe picked them to be the judges.
also, it's 50% - 50% voting system. 50% judges & 50% SMS. You need a strategy dear. it's not luck.
i hope from this experience you c where you went wrong. then, you will be able to learn valuable lessons from it. blaming on the judges & SMS voters for not seeing your dreams will not get you anywhere.
Ikram :
"..and lagi afdal buat sendiri? Its lagi afdal lagi ramai."
>> Um, dude, you're wrong, tiada perantaraan antara god and man, remember? If it's a personal goal memanglaa kena doa sendiri lagi afdal.
Lainla kalau nak elakkan bala for the whole kampung. Memanglaa kena doa "lagi ramai lagi afdal".
Zain Bakri
just a little positive thinking
"I was actually told by one of the judges after the show,
they feel that Joo Nee would need the money more than me.
That they feel my contacts, clientele and celebrity friends would help me pull through with my dream after this"
It may be that the judge is trying to comfort you by saying so. and not meaning to say that their decision is based on that.
he he he..yeap, positive is good. take criticisms as a positive note.
mr ikram is really interesting. he hates amaerican sitcom.
would suggest the particular anonymous (amongst the many many anonymous) to use the word 'bollocks' as oppose to the word 'crap', synonym to a british sitcom.
2ndly, the special prayers. there is NO prayer that is NOT good. come on guys. semayang hajat is sumat. yang sunat tu ada baiknya is yg wajib 5x sehari tu buat consistently. if not no point. x salah minta dari Tuhan lebih, but nd not made to the knowledge of teh rest of the world. buat sendiri cukup. lagi 'molek' if tuanpunya badan sendiri yang minta. ini kalau nak bukak buku solat sangat la kan.
3rdly, every blogger in the world knows that blogs are open to public. so prudence pays. what you write, reflects you. U r the author. depending on the rants, u dun necc. become the hero with balls because of it. :)
so, nini,...know that your YOGA poses are self explanatory= amazing. N the HATI YOGA maga is a great start. B thankful that you were given the honour to participate in the kickstart but somehow the 150 k is not meant to be. Rezeki maybe di tempat lain yer.
it is important that you should know you are not a loser just because you lost in the kickstart. m sure Jo Nee will understand your latest public apology and the dissapointment u went through. Its a catalyst for you to fight harder. Ur dreams can still materialise. Insya allah.
Life is a cycle. Today you are down. The next time you maybe up at the wheels again.
salamz. :)
-lilmslepard-
zain bakri, yes u r right. sendiri minta lagi afdal. :)
yang ramai2 tu, tengok hati masing2. mana ada 'medium' with God. and 'hajat is sunat. yg wajib 5 waktu tu buat dulu hari2, insya allah makbul doa :)
ikram kena bukak buku solat lagi sekali. no pun intended yer.
"I was actually told by one of the judges after the show, they feel that Joo Nee would need the money more than me. That they feel my contacts, clientele and celebrity friends would help me pull through with my dream after this"
to me, it's consolation words plus a tips to move forward. it's like saying, ok you lose now but what you earned so far still able to push you forward so don't feel too bad about it!
i'm not too inspired by both JN and nini aspiration either. opening up a dancing class or being the first yoga magazine publisher both are nothing new. not to disrespect their aspiration, but surely doesn't worth the comparison. the nescafe kickstart itself is a program for our young malaysian to kickstart a new type of career/business/concept..there's not much creativity here...just hard work and publicities. it's a step backward to me. what's so great about inspiring younger generations in opening their own art/dancing/interest/hobby class studio or publishing their own magazine (based on interest)?
actually xtgk pun finale ari2 tp mmg hopefully ninie mng coz mmg nmpk sgt effort dia lbih dr JN..tp nk wat camne klu xdpt kan..b'sabar je la..kite tengok nnt duit 150k yg JN dpt tu abis buat mkn or bukak studio okay.....
well, whatever it is.. rm150k tu tak banyak mana pun, Nie.. don't worry! in no time u'll succeed, dear! believe me.. usually, "2nd best" is the BEST! really.. you just wait & see.. and pedulik jer la apa org2 lain cakap.. tak effect apa pun.. u just do/say whatever u want k? take care, nins! :)
on a 2nd note, Allah jer yg tau niat hati ikhlas, tak ikhlas seseorang tu.. jgn la sedap2 hati je kata as if Ninie tak smbhyg hajat sendiri & harapkan org lain..
okay lah.. that's it! dah2 la tu reply2 pasal nih.. ninie has moved on. kita sume pun move on la yer.
ALL THE BEST to you, ninie! make us proud, SOON or LATER.. :)
Well, maybe you're right about the solat hajat.
The reason why I replied to any of the comments pun because to say that it's a 'crap' idea just made me slightly angry and to ridicule it some more to praying for nombor ekor its just a silly comment worthy of a reply.
Thanks for the heads up for the solat hajat although I still think it was nice to gather some people to show some support apart from tunai solat.
of course its obviouse solat 5 waktu is more important, I agree. Ok, Rather than turning this be a preachy comment on muslim practices, I would like to add to Joe's comment on how he thinks the businesses are not so 'innovative'.
Well I guess its what you expect. I expect contestants to kickstart their dream job and not kickstart an evolution or innovation.
In the world we live today, people have expectations of us and most of the time, these expectations are based on what you studied and hence you work in the field you studied. engineer -> engineering, accountant - accounting
I saw kickstart as not only a platform to do something of your own, but to breakfree from these 'expectations' and challenge yourself.
i think that alone can aspire the younger generation to realize their dreams and how much hard work is needed, its tiring... but not impossible.
Another good example: Air Asia. Two people from the music industry went into airlines.
If jadi, goodlah, if tak jadi, well, at least you knew you tried and starting young is always better than starting later when family responsibilites play a heavier role in making risky decisions.
So to me, even if its a simple idea, I look to see how well they execute it and thats why I think this show works.. for me lah. Not really a die hard fan. watched season 1 and this one.
Of couse if I put myself in joe's shoes, takde la canggih mana all the ideas, but they're all useful in a way.
ANONYMOUS - oh......my god..as i'm going through this blog's comments...you seem to be THE one who's ranting the most..gee...looks like someone's thinking that kak nini's the more deserving winner of kickstart?? well, OBVIOUSLY...otherwise, why would anyone be soooooooooooooo opinionated when it's none of their damn business...
if you think that kak nini is of the least importance, YOU would not even have set foot right here on her blog..ehem..or more precisely her D.I.A.R.Y.
SHUT UP AND GET LOST! XD
and don't forget, i'm just one of her overseas readers...hanya satu di kalangan..erm kalangan..BANYAKkkkkkkk lagi overseas readers..=D
THE BEST EVER, THE ONE AND ONLY KAK NINI - KEEP FIGHTING!! and BE HAPPY (=
I'll ALWAYS be your strong SUPPORTER!!
Dear Ninie,
Firstly, please bear with this long letter in a shoot-from-the-hip cyberworld. I'm a writer by profession who's... let's just say... "advanced in age" and I've run magazines in my heyday so hopefully I can contribute a small friendly heads-up to you. This is driven by nothing more than the desire to share, so please read and take it however you wish.
One of my daughters works in Nestle, although not on Nescafe specifically, and you've created quite a stir with this blog. I visited this site casually once while the show was on air and actually rooted for you at the time. But I have to confess I'm not a big fan of the show (or TV in general) and missed the finals, etc. Yesterday, we got to talking about Kickstart during dinner and she mentioned that your blog raised a few eyebrows in Nestle. Having come back again, I can see why.
I don't profess to intimately understand blogs, but I do see why people doggedly maintain that it's their space to rant as they please. It's like a diary or journal; it's about freedom of speech; if you don't like it don't read it; et al. But with freedom of expression comes accountability. And the big difference between a physical diary and an Internet one is accessibility to the world at large. From the stance taken in your postings, you revealed much about yourself, to the world at large. The last thing you want to do is come across a sore loser despite what is undoubtedly your sincere belief that you were the best contestant. You also don't want to belittle the credibility of judges who accepted the responsibility of making tough decisions despite standing to gain nothing from those decisions. And lastly, you do not want to question the intelligence of voters who will hopefully be your readers, buyers and students in future.
But unfortunately you did all of the above publicly, as an up-and-coming public personality at that. To be a successful publisher and writer, you must tiptoe carefully in a business minefield, grudgingly or not. Be mindful of your commenters as well... try to manage the adoring few who's thoughts, despite being their own, will inevitably be linked to yours. One commenter for instance hints at violence to a judge who volunteered candid insights and advice when I'm sure he/she was not duty-bound to offer any explanation or consolation. Don't bite the hand that feeds -- didn't the judges award you an initial sum of money that got your first issue up and running in the first place? By repeating his/her shared insight without context, you incited your adorers to threats and ridicule. That will by association, reflect on you, whether you like it or not. In the publishing world, you can filter out irresponsible "Letters to the Editor" and you should somehow find your own equivalent here.
It's good that you "repented" (as your readers put it), but I hope it's not a case of too little, too late. The proof is in the pudding -- in your case, not from a single posting to "clear the air" but from what will be read between the lines in your future blog postings and published editorial. Those who truly want to see you succeed and who have real capacity to contribute to your future success (as opposed to those who offer blind adoration and moral support) will listen quietly from the sidelines, and either move on or stick with you based on what they hear. You have some damage control to do. So think, act and write wisely.
All the best,
Kamil
Dear Diary,
